You get what you focus on - creating your experience

Is the cold weather making you  unhappy or uncomfortable? Here are some antidotes:

1.  Stop focussing on it and put  energy into something which gives you a warm feeling, beit actually being in the sun or else something that simply makes you feel good.

2.  Identify what is important for you today and create some of that e.g. if it's beauty, buy some flowers or go to an art exhibition; if it's communication, make some time to talk with a friend or colleague.

3.  Build up your resilience - you're probably tougher than you think. Not so long ago - certainly within my living memory - winter was winter every year (and things did not come to a standstill!)

4.  Think of other places where there have been droughts, tsunamis, earthquakes, Haiti, for example - this will help to put things in perspective.

5.  Be sensible - put on more clothes!!

6.  Count your blessings - make a list of appreciations.
