What is Deep Confidence?

Posted by on Jan 16, 2016 in Uncategorised | 1 comment

Deep Confidence arises from deep inside. It is about having an awareness of who you really are and deeply accepting that. Deep Confidence is about living in alignment with your true values.

As women, it’s important that we learn this skill in order that we may live authentically and in our own rhythm. Whilst we are trying to live in the usually male rhythm of society, we cannot make our unique  contribution to the world. It is only by being who we really are that we can do this.

Deep Confidence means being comfortable in your own skin. Rather than confidence to do x, y, z, it is a confidence with your own being, your essence. Fortunately, this is a skill which can be learnt. The more women who develop it, the more we can make our contribution to a just, harmonious and balanced world.

‘A woman in harmony wither spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretence and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself and only herself.’ Maya Angelou

Women’s Role

Posted by on Sep 10, 2015 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

What is the role of women now in the world?

I believe it is to build Deep Confidence to be ourselves, to be in our own rhythm and to make our unique contribution; to bring balance and harmony to the world.

What are the essential ingredients of this offering? How might this work best?

Leading from the heart

Listening to our intuition

Co-operating with other Women

Having the courage to be authentic – expressing our opinions and ideas, regardless of whether anyone else thinks similarly; this is a unique offering

Attuning to our own rhythm

Appreciating and honouring ourselves

Knowing deeply that what we have to offer is vital to the flourishing of the world

Owning and manifesting our wisom and authority.

REMEMBER WHO WE ARE

THE ASSERTIVE WOMAN: CONFIDENTLY LIVE YOUR LIFE FROM THE ESSENCE OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE

Posted by on May 4, 2015 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

HONOUR  your needs. Tell yourself the truth about what would make your heart sing, what would bring you joy; what would enhance your life. Women are often bad at acknowledging their own needs and good at making the needs of others more important than their own.

FULFILL  your needs. Either do that for yourself, or make a request of someone else. Scary? Nothing ever changes if you live entirely within your comfort zone. What’s the worst that can happen? They say no. Never mind – what’s important is that you honoured yourself enough to ask.

REMIND YOURSELF  often what you are good at. What are your qualities? Appreciate them. Remember to use them in relation to yourself as well as others.

BE HONEST – What is it you  would love to offer the world; what is your unique gift or contribution? Are you offering it, or do you perhaps need to build confidence or need support?

HABITS OF SPIRITUAL WOMEN

Posted by on Feb 11, 2015 in Power of Divine Feminine, Uncategorised | 0 comments

1. Stop self-criticising and start self-congratulating. Accept and love your yourself. Know that the world needs you exactly as you are.

2. Listen to the whispers; take noice of your intuition. Use that, rather than what others think as guidance.

3.  Light candles – often. To invoke a particular quality or Goddess; at breakfast, lunch, tea. Candles create a soft light, conducive to female rhythms.#

4.  What is something that would  truly enhance your life and which you rarely do? Could you do it this  week? Buy yourself some flowers? Go to an exhibition? Walk in nature? Buy something in a colour which lifts your spirits?

5. Spend a couple of minutes – or more – each day, just sitting. Breathe  deeply and consciously into your belly. Surrender to the essence of who you really are. Just be – nothing to do. We are human beings, not human doings.

6. Do something each day which will raise your frequency; chanting, singing, dancing, meditating, burning essential oils. Remember this is just as important a part of your timetable as anything else, and will help to connect you with your essence.

7.  Be the heroine of your ownlife and not the victim.

REMEMBERING WHO YOU ARE AS A WOMAN

Posted by on Jan 28, 2015 in Power of Divine Feminine | 0 comments

It is difficult sometimes to remember this, living in a patriarchal society. Here are some ways:

– use your breath to connect deep, deep into Mother Earth. Imagine yourself being rooted in the earth, connected to your female lineage and to other women

– imagine or ‘remember’ a time when women’s skills and attributes were honoured – the attributes of healing, nurturing, kindness, understanding and love. How might  you be part of  bringing  back the importance of one of these qualities?

– acknowledge that women have their own unique ways of looking at the world and of being in the world. Practice being yourself, rather than who others expect you to be

– spend time with like spirits who can support you in being who you really are.

– know that being who you really are in the world is very important. What you have to offer, your contribution, is unique and needed for the flourishing of the world.

5 WAYS TO LIVE YOUR LIFE AS A WORK OF ART

Posted by on Jan 14, 2015 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

Yes, that is what I believe we are invited to do – in order to live successful and fulfilling lives; to live creatively and not in reaction to circumstances.

Elements of this are:

1.  Make Choices.

At any moment, it is possible to make a choice – ask yourself what you want to be feeling, how you want to be; and move on. Try this, and see how powerful it can be.

2.  Hold your self-image as being consistent with what you want to create.

Think of yourself and talk about yourself as the person you want to be, as the person you need to be in order to create what you want. What we put energy into comes into being.

3.  Make mistakes!

Research shows that many successful people made a lot of mistakes before they became successful – and learnt from them and adjusted their actions accordingly. Say ‘that wasn’t a mistake – that was an experiment’!

4.  Have clear measurement criteria

If you are not clear about these, how will you know when you have reached your goal? Be crystal clear what your goals are and what ‘success’ looks like.

5.  Build patterns of success.

Congratulate yourself on small steps achieved towards your goals. That way, you will build momentum towards achieving your desires and towards making your contribution to the world.

What do you think?

STYLE YOUR LIFE

Posted by on Aug 9, 2012 in Style Coaching™ | 0 comments

STYLE  is not simply about image and clothes. It is an expression of individuality, a celebration of who you really are. I suggest that everyone has a particular style, although
they may not be clear what it is.

STYLE  runs through your whole life like a thread and includes how you express your-
self, your goals and your values.

A big part of STYLE is having the confidence to be authentic in the world, to sound
your unique note.

Also, STYLE  is  about wearing clothes, colours and shapes which express who you are
and which portray your self-image.

STYLE includes having an organised wardrobe so that you can quickly choose what to wear for any occasion.

Ultimately, STYLE  is about feeling and looking calm and confident, being at peace with
yourself, knowing you look good and feel great

7 WAYS TO FIND THE MAGIC WITHIN

Posted by on Jul 28, 2012 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

Are you tired of the same-old, same-old? Do you find yourself getting into the same
routines seemingly against your will? Are you afraid of doing things differently or
behaving in different ways from how you usually do because you are uncertain of the
consequences?

How might you easily bring magic into your life?

1. Remember when you meet someone that you have more in common with them than you
have differences. Focus on that commonality and you will create magic.

2.  Whenever you meet someone, take off your shoes. Metaphorically speaking, not
literally. This means you are acknowledging them for who they are, i.e. different from you.
It means – tread carefully, else you may tread on their dreams. The idea of walking barefoot
to meet a person implies an openness and lack of encumbrance.

3.  Remember you are unique, with a special combination of  gifts, talents and
abilities  to offer the world. In the wonderful words of Nelson Mandela ‘—–Your playing small does not serve the world——–as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously let
people do the same.’ Magic!

4.  Love yourself, then  love yourself some more; give yourself a hug.

5.  Answer the questions – What do I really love? What lifts my spirit? What truly enhances my life? Make sure you include these things in your everyday life.

6. If you had the chance, what magic would you sprinkle on the world today – what would
 the ingredients be? Do it.

 7. Notice the magic already in the worldthe birds, the animals, the trees; the acts of kindness and compassion; the love. It’s all there and the more we acknowledge and focus on it, the more we will create.

Go and create some magic!

INSPIRING TIPS FROM 100 PLUS YEAR-OLDS

Posted by on Jul 11, 2012 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

I watched a really interesting and inspiring programme on television  on monday evening.
It presented being 100 plus in a very positive light and with honour and respect. How
refreshing.

Here are some of  the aspects of life valued by these wonderful people which
help them to stay motivated:

1.  Have or develop a passion and live it, whether it be walking and speaking for Peace and Justice or music or—

2.  Always see the best in situations; be positive.

3.  Refuse to adhere to stereotypical views of people of a certain age. Be yourself, do your
own thing.

4.  Connect with others, whether it be through charity or community work or a shared activity. One man said ‘I believe in giving something back to society, whatever your age.’

5.  Exercise. One woman, 103, declared she never uses her bus pass, as she walk every-
where. Even if that’s not possible, others did more gentle exercise.

6.  Try something new. Like a man who began running when he was 82!

7.  Speak your truth.

8.  Don’t take yourself too seriously

Co-operate, co-operate, co-operate

Posted by on Jul 3, 2012 in Uncategorised | 0 comments

Yes, that’s the future – co-operation. It is becoming widely recognised that this is the way forward – for everyone. This is the way everyone wins. It is increasingly obvious that trying
to get more for yourself at the expense of others backfires. Far more importantly, it’s
inhuman. We’ve seen it in businesses and we’ve seen it on an individual level.

Lets learn to be human again. It’s more fun, too, if we see the wider picture and take into account how our actions impinge the wider whole. Remember, as humans, we’ve far more in common than we have different.

How?  I’m sure you know how – but here’s a quick reminder:

TREAT others as you woud have them treat you

RESPECT, RESPECT, RESPECT, yourself too.

WIDER PICTURE – see it

BE KIND

SHOW APPRECIATION.

SHARE

That will do for starters. What can you do immediately to CO-OPERATE more?

How did you feel afterwards?
